About our herd

We take a quantitative approach to producing great fiber.  The result is  a herd that produces some of the best Suri fiber in the United States.

Every year, we make the hard decision as to which animals will remain in the herd and which ones will be culled.  We do not believe in selling lesser quality animals to other farms or keeping those genetics in the national pool.  Additionally, we're realistic about how each animal will best contribute to our annual revenue stream.  The result of our decision to cull is the development of a set of snack stick meat products sold under the label Spittin' Good Alpaca Meats www.spittingood.com.  We sell throughout the U.S. and count this as a growing part of our business model!
